Havana Workshops 2012

This is one of my all time favourite photos taken in Havana during the workshops. Besides the obviously great looking girls, Indira and Emmy, I love the doormen in the background. The guy straightening his bow tie and the other gesturing, you just see his hand. This restaurant on the Melecon became our favourite place for lunch. We'd sit on the 2nd floor balcony where you could watch the ocean and the traffic on Havana's most iconic street. The food was really good and very reasonably priced also.

Mac surgery

The 12" powerbook was one of my favourite Macs. It was small, small, small, before that was the trend. I picked one up recently for $150 on kijiji, it was like new. I then boldly opened my old 12" and removed the hard drive and inserted it into the new one. What a chore! They packed a lot into that little machine! I didn't count the number of tiny screws I had to remove and replace in each machine but it felt like about 100. All in all it was kinda fun.

We paid less for the house...

Finnbarr - 17yrs. old

Ameleck was Finnbarr's West African grandfathers name. Its Finn's middle name.

Free Enterprise in Cuba

The Cuban Gov't. is laying off 1/2 million people. At the same time they are opening up free enterprise. These people are lining up for licences in Centro Habana.
